This turntable is the successor of the MK1 turntable. I've developed it as a smaller, simpler and cheaper version with some additional improvements:
- The top plate is now directly connected to the stepper motor's shaft via a 5mm shaft coupler, meaning it's still stable but offers more precise movements without any shakes or recoils.
- At the table's bottom, there's a stable holder for GX-16 sockets to easily connect or disconnect the turntable with the motor controller.
- The top plate is covered by an 8mm soft rubber mat that allows to slip free add the actual photographic background plates.
- You can use any NEMA 17 stepper motor up to 80mm height (main body height without motor shaft).

Socket Frontplate
If you want to use a different socket than a GX-16, you can create a custom version of the socket frontplate. Just download the SVG template, make it fit to your specific needs and produce it at your local lasercutting service shop or with your own laser cutting machine.
